Responsibilities
Program volunteers work with the education/program staff to assist special needs clients 18+ to grow in self-acceptance and independence. Our programs integrate:
- Educational and artistic experiences
- Personal growth and development
- Socialization

Art from the Heart
These volunteers have a passion for art and the willingness to work with an exceptional group of artists. More Art Information
Adult Day Training Program
These volunteers assist Monday-Friday with classroom instruction, computers, games and recreational activities and attend field trips. The program offers regular opportunities for interaction. More Training Information
Process for Becoming a Schott Volunteer
Prospective volunteers may call us at 954-434-3306 to speak with the Volunteer Coordinator, Maria Peredo, or email volunteer@schottcommunities.org. Upon completion of an interview and application forms, the volunteer can be placed. Because of the nature of our mission and the population we serve, adult volunteers for Schott Communities programs are required to have background checks and to be fingerprinted prior to volunteering. We cannot provide court-ordered hours.
