"There are too many young adults aging out of the school system with no meaningful place to go.” says Debra Silverman, Director of Programs.

The Schott Adult Day Program was born out of the need of desperate parents looking for superior services for their adult children with disabilities.

Through many hours of collaboration with parents, students and educators, Schott has designed a program to be specifically oriented towards meeting the needs of this very special population. In addition, the success of the Saturday pilot program gave staff a great amount of insight into the requirements for a 5-day-a-week program.

With more than a 30 year-history of providing programs and services for persons who are the deaf and disabled, Schott Communities is uniquely qualified to offer a program in an atmosphere of dignity, respect, friendship and caring.

“We are very excited about this opportunity to have our daughter participate in such an active and inclusive program at a place that she loves.” - Laurie Horner

The program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is under the supervision of licensed Special Education instructors.
